* mesa: Replace use of _ReallyEnabled as a boolean with use of _Current.Eric Anholt2014-04-301-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | I'm probably not the only person that has tried to kill _ReallyEnabled. This does the mechanical part of the work, and cleans _ReallyEnabled from i965. I think that using _Current makes texture management clearer: You can't have multiple targets in use in the same texture image unit at the same time, because there's just that one pointer. * i965: Use ctx->Texture._MaxEnabledTexImageUnit for upper boundChris Forbes2014-04-211-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | Avoid looping over 32/48/96 (!!) tex image units every draw, most of which we don't care about. Improves performance on everyone's favorite not-a-benchmark by 2.9% on Haswell. Signed-off-by: Chris Forbes <[email protected]> Reviewed-by: Ian Romanick <[email protected]>
* i965: Validate (and resolve) all the bound textures.Chris Forbes2014-03-021-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | BRW_MAX_TEX_UNIT is the static limit on the number of textures we support per-stage, not in total. Core's `Unit` array is sized by MAX_COMBINED_TEXTURE_IMAGE_UNITS, which is significantly larger, and across the various shader stages, up to ctx->Const.MaxCombinedTextureImageUnits elements of it may be actually used. Fixes invisible bad behavior in piglit's max-samplers test (although this escalated to an assertion failure on HSW with texture_view, since non-immutable textures only have _Format set by validation.) | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Tungsten Graphics Inc. was acquired by VMware Inc. in 2008. Leaving the old copyright name is creating unnecessary confusion, hence this change. This was the sed script I used: $ cat tg2vmw.sed # Run as: # # git reset --hard HEAD && find include scons src -type f -not -name 'sed*' -print0 | xargs -0 sed -i -f tg2vmw.sed # # Rename copyrights s/Tungsten Gra\(ph\|hp\)ics,\? * i965: Delete intel_context entirely.Kenneth Graunke2013-07-091-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | This makes brw_context inherit directly from gl_context; that was the only thing left in intel_context. * i965: Pass brw_context to functions rather than intel_context.Kenneth Graunke2013-07-091-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This makes brw_context available in every function that used intel_context. This makes it possible to start migrating fields from intel_context to brw_context. Surprisingly, this actually removes some code, as functions that use OUT_BATCH don't need to declare "intel"; they just use "brw." | | | | | | | | | | | brw_context.h includes intel_context.h, but additionally makes the brw_context structure available. Switching this allows us to start using brw_context in more places. * i965: Setup framebuffer texture in meta_draw_region.Kristian Høgsberg2008-02-261-4/+5
| | | | | | | With DRI2 we there is no screen region until a drawable is bound to the context. Set up the framebuffer texture in meta_draw_region instead which should also handle the case where the draw region changes as a result of resizing a redirected window or resizing the screen.
* [intel] Add more cliprect modes to cover other meanings for batch emits.Eric Anholt2008-01-101-0/+19
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The previous change gave us only two modes, one which looped over the batch per cliprect (3d drawing) and one that didn't (state updeast). However, we really want 4: - Batch doesn't care about cliprects (state updates) - Batch needs DRAWING_RECTANGLE looping per cliprect (3d drawing) - Batch needs to be executed just once (region fills, copies, etc.) - Batch already includes cliprect handling, and must be flushed by unlock time (copybuffers, clears). All callers should now be fixed to use one of these states for any batchbuffer emits. Thanks to Keith Whitwell for pointing out the failure.
* [965] Replace 965 texture format code with common code.Eric Anholt2007-11-201-161/+0
| | | | | The only functional difference should be that 965 now gets the optimization where textures default to 16bpp when the screen is 16bpp.
